About me

In the grand scheme of things, I’m nobody.  I’m a mom to  three grown children and a grammy to one remarkable little girl.  I work  for the State of Ohio as a Shared Living Provider for my adult disabled  son and am the Founder/Executive Director of Good Works Farm, Inc.  

I  can do all things through God, who gives me strength.

In 2015, I published a book entitled Instant Mom: Just Add coffee,  which won First Runner Up in the 2014 Greydon Press Writing Competition.   Soon after, the Instant Mom: Just Add Coffee Blog was born.

In 2020, the sequel to Instant Mom began with a blog, Instant Farmer:  Just Add Dirt blog.  This blog will be the outline for the book to  follow, which will chronicle the journey our family is taking to build a  farmstead community for individuals with and without disabilities.  

My third blog, Sam: A Day in the Life began in 2011 when Sam and I began a homeschooling journey together.  It evolved over the years to include posts about all things Sam.

In addition to my own blogs, I guest blog regularly and will share links to these and other media touches on the LINKS page.

When I’m not working, writing, or farming, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, pursuing creative outlets such as crochet, photography, painting, yoga, and  dancing.  For adventure, I enjoy shooting, hiking, and 4-wheeling in my Jeep.
